| The DP3TH-3S drilling machine is equipped with a small-size two stroke petrol engine and is designed for drilling holes in rail for electrical connections. Drilling capacities : - up to 22 mm diameter with reamer drill (this reamer drill is componed of a first diameter for drilling and a second, taller of 0,5 mm, for reaming. The reaming cycle assures a good finishing of the hole and removes sharp edges and defects caused during drilling cycle). - up to 32 mm diameter with annular cutter. General features : - Engine with built-in starter - Petrol mix : un-leaded petrol with a 4/5% mix of 2-stroke oil - Fuel tank capacity : 0,4 liters. |

This type of drilling machine features an under-rail clamping and may be used without a track possession (no stop of traffic); it is also required to remove the ballast but, because of its design, under the rail only. | ||

Fixing the drilling machine to the rail, with a 16 mm spanner, is effected by means of two bolts (both sides of the frame). Due to its clamping set, the drilling height is fixed at 72 mm (on rail types UIC60, U50, U36, U33). Specific height for different types of rail is possible changing the 2 side-plates of clamping set. |

This drilling machine is delivered with a special Tee-chuck key, allowing the hand rotation of spindle and the drill to be changed. |
 As an option, wooden carrying case, with positions for : - the drilling machine - the cutting tool - the chamfering tool - the petrol can - the aerosol spray. |

When using an annular cutter, lubrication is provided by a central spray. The drilling machine is fitted out with a quick-release coupling and a breaking-off valve. The handle of the feed handwheel folds down so that it is less liable to damage and more convenient when carrying it around. |

As an option, this type of drilling machine can also be converted into one with over-rail clamping through a simple change of the clamping set and suitable rail shoes. |
